Project Overview
Two languages, one voice.
Presence Academy is Abdul-Rahman Abdullah’s mentorship community, with more than a thousand students. The teaching happens in both Arabic and English, and a site that treats one as a translation of the other tells students which one is the afterthought.
A custom theme built bilingual from the first line rather than mirrored afterwards. Arabic sets shorter than English and needs more line height, so the type system was tuned twice and the line breaks were set by hand in both.
Student tools sit inside the same theme, so enrolment, materials and the community are one place rather than three services stitched together.
